Moving
ON Training was established in 2004 to address the continuing education
needs of the Aged Care Industry. The directors of Moving ON Training
are Allison Midson, Stephen Midson, Deb Shearman and Greg Edwards.
Continuing
education is a requirement for all aged care workers but has traditionally
been challenging and expensive to deliver. It is now also a mandatory
requirement for all registered and enrolled nurses under the continuing
professional development standard for national registration.
MOT
has been at the forefront of online education delivery to the aged
care sector and out track record speaks for its self.
We have delivered over 130,000 online enrolments since 2004 to residential,
community aged care workers and individual aged care nurses.
Our anonymous online evaluations numbering in excess of 7000 have
been consistently above 95% positive across all modules and work
groups. Our 2 key evaluation questions relate to relevance of the
education to the learner’s work role and if the education
will contribute to the quality of care for residents and clients.
Online
education is cost effective, equitable and easily accessed by all.
It can be customised for your organisation and records all learner
activity to provide evidence for compliance.
Our
Philosophy - Our
philosophy is based on our slogan "Keep Learning, Keep Caring"
All
aged care workers should have equity in their opportunity to have
access to education to maintain or improve their competency to ensure
that residents and clients are receiving the highest quality care.
Our
aims are:
• To promote continuing education as a valuable resource for
all aged care workers including registered and enrolled nurses
• To create a sustainable learning culture within an organisation
• To provide aged care education that is job relevant
• To develop a learning system that is creative, motivating
and dynamic so we are able to respond to the changing needs of the
industry.
